4

Interview: you meet the shortlist and choose who to offer.

Sector insights

What does an allied health recruitment agency do?

An allied health recruitment agency finds and shortlists candidates for a service's open allied health roles. CrossNation takes your brief (profession, grade, caseload, location and start date), searches candidates already in Australia and overseas, records each candidate's Ahpra registration or professional association credentials, and presents a shortlist. You interview and decide. The fee is 12% of the candidate's annual salary, with a 90-day placement guarantee.

You send the profession, grade, caseload, location and start date.
We search, screen and shortlist against that brief.
You interview the people you like and we coordinate the offer.

Which allied health professions are registered?

Occupational therapists, physiotherapists and podiatrists must be registered with their national board through Ahpra before they can practise. Speech pathologists, dietitians and social workers are self-regulated: employers usually ask for Certified Practising Speech Pathologist status, the Accredited Practising Dietitian credential, or eligibility for AASW membership. Knowing which applies to your role helps us screen the right way from the first call.

Ahpra-registered: OT, physiotherapy, podiatry.
Self-regulated: speech pathology, dietetics, social work.
Overseas-qualified candidates need their qualification assessed first.

Frequently asked questions

What does allied health recruitment through CrossNation cost?

Our fee is 12% of the candidate's annual salary, with a 90-day placement guarantee.

Which allied health professions do you recruit?

Occupational therapists, physiotherapists, podiatrists, speech pathologists, dietitians and social workers, for health services, hospitals, aged care, disability and community providers across Australia.

Do you recruit for regional health services?

Yes. CrossNation recruits for employers across Australia, and many of the allied health roles we are recruiting for now are in Mildura in regional Victoria.

Can you find candidates for Grade 1 and Grade 2 roles?

Yes. Tell us the grade and caseload in your brief. New graduates suit many Grade 1 roles, while Grade 2 roles usually need some years of experience; we screen against what you ask for.

Can you help with overseas allied health candidates?

We can source and screen overseas candidates, but their qualification and registration must be assessed first, and any visa work needs a registered migration agent. CrossNation is a recruitment agency, not a registered migration agent. This is general information, not migration advice. Speak to a registered migration agent.
